Abstract
This study investigated the impact of the "random word" strategy on enhancing creative thinking skills among female students majoring in Graphics and Multimedia. Conducted with 18 participants, the study utilized an experimental design. Significantly positive differences (p < 0.01) were found between pre- and post-measurements in dimensions of creative thinking and the overall questionnaire, indicating the effectiveness of the "random word" technique. Notably, the strategy had the highest influence on flexibility, followed by originality, fluency, and clarification. This research contributes to understanding how the "random word" technique can boost creative thinking in graphic design and multimedia, ultimately enhancing the quality of the final product. Based on the results of this study, the graphic designer and multimedia creator can invest this technology in their work and develop their creativity. This type of research is of interest because it has not been sufficiently studied in previous studies in the field of graphic design & multimedia.
