Abstract
Postmodern arts appeared with the end of the 19th century, in which the artist tried to break the traditional patterns of art, trying to send his message to the audience by involving them in the artwork to bridge the gap between him and the audience, and Success has become linked to the degree of interaction and influence , The artworks of that period were characterized by a re-reading of the artistic heritage , And those arts became concerned with revolutionary experimentation against inherited traditions, and art became social that calls for participation . One of the most important arts that appeared in the postmodern period is the installation art . installation art is known as one of the directions of postmodern art that focused on audience participation and linking art to society , and It is a new language invented by the artist to be more communicative and understanding with the audience . It refers to the concept of display and how to organize and coordinate the elements of the artwork in a "real space" whether internal or external. It is a kind of mental activity carried out by the artist to practice this modern form of art, and the idea of the exhibition is based on taking advantage of installation art to clarify an idea and organizing work elements inside the exhibition hall. The most important thing that distinguishes these works is their dependence in the first place on the privacy of the place and the manufacture of the art work in a specific space or in an external place. It does not contain the separate vision of each element separately, but depends on the total and organic interaction between all the elements within the spatial system by using different modes of expression, and these elements are (Site) , (Specifie Sit) , (Modes of expression), (Artwork) .
Statement of the problem: The problem of the research is to reach non-traditional plastic design constructs for the printed surfaces of the hanging fabrics, by deducing them from the application of the installation art relying on the optical art as a source of inspiration. Accordingly, the research problem is determined by answering the following two questions: • How to use the basics of the installation art and the conscious practice of experimental thought using optical art systems to reach construction designs for hanging fabrics. • How to apply the technical capabilities of some specialized computer programs and digital printing by thermal transfer . Research Objective : The research aims to: • Studying the structural systems of the installation art and the structural basics of the optical art, and what it includes of new concepts with a creative approach that opens new horizons for experimental thought. • Reaching a new design vision in the field of the hanging fabrics by addressing the installation art , a descriptive, analytical, artistic study as aesthetic and expressive values. • The possibility of employing designs for hanging fabrics with a modern and contemporary artistic vision. • Benefiting from the technical capabilities of some computer programs to develop new designs for hanging fabrics with a new vision. • Dealing with a modern applied method, which is the digital printing technology by thermal transfer, which is characterized by the quality of the design and the richness of shape, color, texture, and others.
Research Importance : • The research (exhibition) contributes to identifying the structural systems of the installation art in the field of textile printing design in general and the design of hanging fabrics in particular. • Flags of light on installation art in the field of textile design and linking it to the structural systems of the optical art in hanging fabrics field . •Presentation a thought and a new artistic field for designing textile printing to reach alternatives and new solutions in the field of textile design for hanging fabrics field. • Enriching the general artistic taste by presenting a specialized (exhibition) details in the field of textile design for hanging fabrics field .
Research Methodology: The research depends in its procedures on: Analytical descriptive approach: • Where it deals with design experiments description and analysis. Experimental method: • It is reliable in addressing the innovative aspect in textile design for hanging fabrics field. deductive method: • following this approach through the use of the deductive method tools that monitor the trends in installation art and the structural systems of the optical art . Statistical method: • To prove the validity of the research hypotheses (the exhibition).
Results: • Merging between installation art and the optical art led to reach a new design vision in the field of textile design for hanging fabrics . • The use of specialized computer programs helped to support the field of textile printing design with new innovative designs that keep pace with contemporary global changes. • The results of the design experiments, which are four (4) design experiments in black and white, three (3) design experiments in black and white with parts of warm or cold colors, three (3) design experiments executed in all colors - with the research objectives, which provides an entrance Outstanding experimental and applied. • Developing a methodology for applying the design of printed textile hanging fabrics using the basics of the installation art to get out of the traditional space.
