Abstract
One of the important definitions of a good product is that it is the product whose evaluation results confirm that it conforms to specifications, is safe, and is easy to use. Despite the simplicity of this definition, it undoubtedly reflects the importance of evaluating product design. Design is an important factor for any product because it reflects the intellectual and technical capabilities of a community and it caters to the desires of a particular customer or user. Today, countries are well-known for the new products, technologies and inventions they provide to humankind. The design in what we mean here is not only limited to product designs, but also includes every design structure that adds economic value or benefits people. To make the product successful, it is necessary to evaluate and develop it according to outstanding technical and technical expertise. The problem of this study revolves around product evaluation as one of the elements that contribute to the success of the design process and that leads to better development or appropriate adjustment of products. Whether evaluation is part of the design process or a part that follows the emergence of the product in order to know its impact on individuals, society and the environment. The study aims to identify the tendency of evaluation processes in terms of individual judgments that depend on the experience of the evaluator, which may lead to an evaluation that does not meet the real needs of the user. The study supports the call for broader participation in the evaluation from the largest number of categories of beneficiaries, which definitely leads to product development and redesign in order to meet consumer expectations and capabilities. The study problem can be summarized in the question. What tools, methods and standards guarantee the most efficient evaluation of products? The importance of the study: This study reflects the need for in-depth studies that guarantee sound evaluation rules and procedures, whether during the product design process or even after its completion. Research objective: The research aimed to identify and use various methods to evaluate the product and determine its suitability for application in evaluating the design of household appliances and manual equipment. The study used to achieve this goal both the Analytical Descriptive and the Survey Approach. Research results: The evaluation of the product, whether during the design process stages or after the production of the product and its emergence comes into existence, is based on specific criteria whose existence aims to reduce the impact of the designer self in the first place, then to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the evaluation. These criteria differ for each product and for the design stage. The evaluation is classified according to the nature of the product and its uses, as well as the environment of this use, which shows the possibility and ease of entering the evaluation process, thus making the evaluation process available at any time or stage and by any person. , Which can be modified during the design process. Some evaluation tests are carried out on the Mockup / model or Prototype prototypes, with the aim of evaluating the design and identifying its deficiencies, which are then in the stages of design growth or in the stages of product development after its emergence in the market. Modification of design characteristics to achieve design goals and reach consumer satisfaction. Safety and security of products, and hence their users, are among the most important factors that we feel are necessary in the products. It ultimately benefits the user community, the user, and sometimes the environment. To achieve a deeper understanding of the design goals and requirements of the design team, the evaluation criteria must be clear and unambiguous. The multiplicity of evaluation methods and the use of each type in the appropriate use of the evaluation design helps to strengthen and support the design process and then the product itself and provides the ability to evaluate more product coverage in all its aspects.
