Abstract
The research aims to evaluate and study the human factors that underlie the design of fashion and clothing design laboratories as well as identify considerations and principles of ergonomics in the design of these laboratories to determine the specifications of a typical clothing lab. For machines and devices inside the laboratory in a safe and effective way, Ergonomics is the applied science that specializes in the design of machines, equipment, products and systems, with the intention of maximizing the maximum degree of safety, reducing fatigue and stress, and providing comfort to users through the appropriateness of designing products and workplaces to the sizes of individuals, and their physical strength in order to increase Efficiency and productivity maximization.
The research problem stems from the clarity of the need to develop standard ergonomic design considerations for clothing factories in specialized colleges focusing on studying the ergonomic characteristics of users of clothing factories in specialized colleges, so that the designer has sufficient information on the nature of human behavior and the environmental needs of users. The deterioration of the reality of clothing factories and their non-observance of ergonomics considerations in arranging and organizing their contents according to the measurements of the body of students and the tasks they perform, and developing a visualization of a clothing lab that takes into account aspects of ergonomics in design, and this will only be done through the development and modification of the laboratory design and the arrangement and organization of its contents including It is appropriate for the nature of assignments and activities performed by students in the laboratory.
The research reached, through a survey study, to benefit from the opinions of specialists in setting the main specifications of clothing factories that achieve compatibility with human capabilities and avoid deficiencies that may occur in these capabilities, and also benefit from well-known international anthropometric standards.
