Abstract
Movie is an art nurtured by the different types of cultures, and the role of the movie is to represent and affect these cultures as well.Cinematography and film production have developed with the development of the society in general. It evolved from the simple silent movies, to the realistic movies that represent the life with all its positive and negative aspects, to the science fiction movies. Today, film production constitutes a significant target market for a large number of different businesses in the different societies, and Hollywood can be considered as the leading pioneer in the field of the film production including the life movies that have animation characters. Before the advent of digital technology the film-making was realistic, and the cinematic tricks (special effects) were simple and limited to the photo shooting. Like what happens in the stop-motion videos, when they shoot a bag for example then they stop the camera and change its place to shoot from a different position, in order to display the bag as moving by itself. But the development of the digital technology, and emergence of both Visual and special effects (VFX-SFX), and using them together, allowed the filmmakers a broader area, and enabled them to display the imaginative incidents as fact in the movies. Moreover, they become able to implement and merge the visual effects after shooting the movies giving the spectator more excitement and pleasure for watching the movies. The merging of animation characters into the life action also developed from 2D hand-drawn character, to 2D digital character, to 3D digital character. Furthermore, using the system of motion capture and the system of integrating the movement into the computer designed character made the implementation of the movement easier and give the animation character. Importantly, this development made the design of the animation character more rapid and accurate, and it also helped in developing the 2D movies to the 3D movies. Thus, the international and global movies kept place with implementing the developed Digital technology, and both the visual and special effects. The kind of technology that we have to make use of it in the development and the production of the Egyptian movies, in order to enable the filmmakers to be more creative, and to give the viewers the required excitement via integrating the imagination into the movie, as the visual and special effects become an essential part of the movies of this age.
