Abstract
The unlimited diversity of fashion designs necessitates the development of modeling, which requires the designer to have a degree of innovation and skill in preparation, development and modification, as well as experience and practice are important factors necessary to create accurate and practical models. The success of any model depends on the preparation of the model, so the garment industry begins by choosing the design and then preparing the correct basic model followed by many steps. The pattern is the basis in the garment industry as it is the first step of the production process, which depends on it the success of the design and affects the quality of the clothing product because it represents the human body in its three dimensions according to the taken measurements and therefore need to specialists with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy. The most important features of the basic model are the panties that work to make clothing suitable for the appearance of the body in the areas of chest, abdomen, buttocks, and the bones of the shoulder blade and the elbow. Although the panties are important, there are types of clothing that need a greater proportion of the wideness with no panties in the model such as simple dresses, blouses and shirts leather garments, knitwear, household clothing, casual wear and sportswear, as well as the production of one size clothing. These models are also more suitable for garment production in garment factories for easy and fast manufacturing hence increasing production. The problem: has summarized the questions; Are there different ways to draw the basic pattern of Corsage that has no panties? What are these ways?What are the differences between the different methods of fitting and proportion of the wideness? What is the best way to obtain a basic form of Corsage free of panties in terms of fitting and the proportion of the wideness? Objectives: The studyaims have been to identify the different ways of drawing the basic model of Corsage free of panties and to arrive to the best and simplest way to get a basic model for a Corsage free of panties. Methodology: The research followed the applied experimental method to suit this research and to answer the research questions and achieve the objectives. Results:there are statistically significant differences between the three methods of designing the basic model free of panties of the studied sizesin question for the proposed method.
