The world in the last decade seams to be a changeable. (John Stark 2011) (Shi, Mengyun et al 2020) According to (Keinonen, Takala 2006, P. 23) companies need to anticipate key feature of the future. According to (John Stark 2011) companies need to satisfy customers and meet their demands. According to (Keinonen et al 2006, P. 23) Changes in the business environment require decisions about the product line, which may include adjustments to product specifications, new product variations. Decisions must be based on information from market surveys, technical research and development. In decisions related to product lines, products and their subsystems, given the difficulty of using information about competitors in different markets, the need to use forecasting methods has become urgent. The ability to predict upcoming trends plays a very important role in designing carpets and textiles, so the companies can be able to create their own products. Trend forecasting can be used to anticipate trends for the next season or year. According to (Shi, Mengyun et al 2020) Fashion industry has changed, towards prescriptive and predictive analytics. According to (Robert H et al 2011) using statistical ways like the time series forecasting the coming trends can be regarded as statistically meaningful. The aim of this research is to use online stores as a tool to predict future trends in carpet design.
