Abstract
This research focuses on the art of typography and how to use it as a source of inspiration to enrich the design of one-piece women's clothing fabrics, and the art of typography is a visual language that reflects creativity and beauty through texts and thus exceeds its role from being a mere means of displaying words to being a powerful tool for communication, influencing feelings and leaving unforgettable impressions, as the art of typography combines the design of letters and text arrangement in visual methods that draw attention and convey messages artistically, and it is also considered a creative medium that represents a combination of craftsmanship and artistry. Therefore, a full understanding of the art of typography and the changes and developments it has witnessed over the ages may help the designer to exploit and adapt it optimally in order to create designs that attract attention and achieve the desired purpose. The researcher has reviewed the basic elements of typography and its most important principles, and has shed light in this research on some of the works of a contemporary typographic artist and the role of typography in the field of fashion. In order to obtain contemporary typographic designs to be printed on women's one-piece fabrics
