Abstract
The aim of this study is to know the extent of the effect of different cotton methods on some of the functional and mechanical properties of sports laces, the research succeeded in producing 18 artistic pieces on woven strips. Two experiments were conducted: the first experiment (100% Lycra) and the second experiment, with a mixing ratio of (2 Lycra: 1 Cotton) using different textile compositions (extended plain 2/2 in both directions, 2/2 Twill, satin 4) with the use of wefts of different methods. Spinning (ring - compact- open end) with the constant number of the warp and weft and the density of the warp and weft in the unit of measurement, then performing laboratory tests on these tests and performing statistical analysis of them.
The results of the research indicated that there is a difference between the warp yarns used on most of the functional and mechanical properties of the produced samples, in addition to the presence of a clear effect of the different meat spinning methods on everything that characterizes the speed of reduction and stiffness of the produced textile bands, while aiming for a significant benefit between the textile compositions used on the textile properties ( tensile strength - tension decay - residual extension - absorption - stiffness ).
