Abstract
The term identity always arouses the interest of many in intellectual circles. Identity is everything that distinguishes one group from another, and it is also what distinguishes the individual within his group. It is the container that carries all the material, social, psychological, moral, and cultural data. Egyptian identity carries its own characteristics resulting from the succession of civilizations on the land of Egypt. Egyptian art is the result of the movement of the Egyptian human and cultural society. Egyptian nature, with all its components, including plains, rivers, phenomena, events, plants and animals, is filled with artistic and plastic themes and values that the artist accepts as a source from which he borrows his ideas, designs and practical applications. By the nature of the artist and being influenced by everything that surrounds him, nature interacted with his feelings and His inspiration and emotions created within him spiritual and formal dimensions that only reflect him. He was able to embody those reflections and show them on the artistic product in a creative work that distinguishes the special features of his artistic community, representing the true translation of his feelings and ambitions and the distinctive feature of his society and everything that the artist sees around him from the aspects of nature in his surroundings and stored in his memory of his culture. The visual and artistic culture of the artist is the main engine and guide for the formation of his visual personality and the crystallization of his creativity. All of these effective influences and how they interact with each other created a cohesive whole system that represents Egyptian art, and the discovery of its artistic roots appeared in the works of the Egyptian artist Zainab Abdel Hamid. The field of textile printing is one of the fields that needs successive development to keep pace with ongoing global developments. This research deals with the work of the artist Zainab Abdel Hamid to create printing design formulas for curtain fabrics that are characterized at the same time by the Egyptian character and in which the Egyptian character is evident. and from here came the problem of the research How to benefit from the Egyptian identity in the works of artist Zainab Abdel Hamid to create print design formulas for hanging fabrics? The objectives of the research Taking advantage of the Egyptian identity in the works of artist Zainab Abdel Hamid to create print design formulas for pendant fabrics using some specialized computer programs. The importance of the research includes the richness of the field of general textile printing design and the field of designing curtain fabrics of its own and wide range is based on the works of the artist Zainab Abdel Hamid, including his bearing from an Egyptian identity far from her to society to produce applied printing products for hanging fabrics. Research methodology: The research follows the descriptive analytical method and the experimental method. The results are summarized in: The results of the theoretical study showed that the works of the artist Zainab Abdel Hamid are rich in the vocabulary and elements of the Egyptian identity and the plastic artistic structure of the works of the artist Zainab Abdel Hamid, and the presence of aesthetic and artistic values in her works that can be inspired by. It is a new addition in enriching the designs of printed hanging fabrics, so we can extract new design approaches.
