Abstract
Product design involves innovative, functional, and aesthetic aspects, necessitating extensive research and scrutiny from designers to create successful products. The design process involves several stages with specific methods and tools. Designers must examine the product, similar items, and related products to achieve their goals. Various analysis methods can be used depending on the designer's needs and goals. This research aims to introduce designers to these tools and methods in an easy-to-understand manner. The research problem aims to address the ignorance of product designers in Great Cairo about various analytical techniques and develop an analytical framework to help them articulate their design philosophy. The main objectives are to raise awareness and create an extensive analytical system. The research hypotheses suggest that product designers can easily select the best analysis approach for each design stage by understanding the goals of different methods. The analytical proposal can help structure product assessment and facilitate communication between students, design professors, and arbitrators. Methodologies used include descriptive and experimental approaches to test the analytical proposal's efficacy by conducting an experiment on a sample of students from the Department of Metal Products and Jewelry design.
