Abstract
Women need to be distinguished, individualized, and appear elegant, and the most occasions in which women can shine are special occasions, but they find it difficult to do so because of the high cost of these models. It must have a quality in performance and appearance commensurate with its uses, and given that table linens are raw materials of distinct value that make them useful in enriching women’s occasion clothes, and the decorative units that many table linen fabrics contain are distinguished to the extent that they contribute to The diversity of occasional clothing designs learned from them, which achieves the aesthetic and innovative values of these clothing, and also contributes to facing the economic crisis of the state as a result of the high prices, due to the low prices of many of them compared to the prices of fabrics intended for clothing for special occasions. The objectives of the research were: 1- Benefit from table linen fabrics in implementing a variety of designs for women's special occasions clothes to face the economic crisis. 2- Finding creative plastic solutions to design and implement clothing pieces for women's special occasions using table linen fabrics. This research followed the semi-experimental approach to achieve its objectives. The study reached several results, the most prominent of which was the presence of statistically significant differences between the designs implemented from table linen fabrics in achieving aesthetic and innovative values, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the designs implemented from table linen fabrics according to the opinions of specialists as well as consumers, with the presence of statistically significant differences between the opinions of each of them. All of this emphasized the possibility of benefiting from table linen fabrics in enriching the clothes of special occasions for women to face the economic crisis
