The Effectiveness of a Proposed Educational Unit for Developing Macramé Method in Fashion Supplement Design

Abstract
Background of research is to build an educational unit for designing fashion accessories according to educational foundations, and to measure its effectiveness in developing knowledge and skills of fourth year students in the Ready-made Garments Division. PROBLEM: What is the proposed conception of an educational unit in “Designing Fashion Accessories Based on The Macramé Style” to Develop the Knowledge and skills of the 4th Year students? What is the effectiveness of proposed educational unit developing students’ knowledge? What is the correlation between the growth of knowledge and skills of students? OBJECTIVES: Developing the knowledge of ready-made garments department students. Developing the skills of ready-made garments department students. Revealing the correlation between the growth of knowledge and skills of the students. METHODOLOGY: Two approaches, the descriptive approach that was used in the design and preparation of the educational unit and the preparation of research tools, and the quasi-experimental approach that was used in the implementation of the research experiment. RESULTS: There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of students in the knowledge included in the proposed unit at the level (0.01) in the two applications, before and after, in favor of the post application. There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of students in the skills included in the proposed unit at the level (0.01) in the two applications, the pre and post applications, in favor of the post application. There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of students in the knowledge and skills included in the proposed unit at the level of (0.01) in the two applications, before and after, in favor of the post application
