Abstract
The research aimed to study the relationship between the services provided by university cities and the psychological alienation of students residing in it. The research sample consisted of (250) male and female students of different social and economic levels. The sample is required to be from university students residing in university cities, whose stay in the first year ranges in University City, in order for the alienation to be realistic for them, because with the length of the alienation period, an adaptation process occurs, so the university student residing in the university city does not feel alienated and were chosen in a randomly intended way in each of the(The university city of Tanta - the university city in Cairo - the university city of Ain Shams), the research tools consisted of: a general student data form, a questionnaire of services provided by university cities, a questionnaire of psychological alienation among students residing in cities. The application of the research tools took about four months from April until August 2020, and the questionnaire was applied to the research sample students electronically by sending by e-mail or various social media. The research followed the descriptive and analytical approach. Research Results: The absence of a statistically significant correlational relationship between the total services provided by university cities with their axes and the psychological alienation in its dimensions among students residing in them, and the existence of a statistically significant discrepancy between the three cities at (Al-Azhar - Tanta - Ain Shams) according to the total level of alienation, where the significance of the kai value for each city becomes clear. The university campus at Al-Azhar University and the university city at Tanta University, and its value was (18,981, 11,459), respectively, and both were significant at 0.01, except for the university city of Ain Shams University, where the value of Kai was 2,818, which is not statistically significant, There are statistically significant differences in the total services provided by university cities between students according to gender (male - female), while there are statistically significant differences between students in the total psychological alienation in its three dimensions according to gender (male - female) in favor of males, The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences between students of theoretical colleges and students of practical colleges in the total services provided by university cities, while there are statistically significant differences between students in the axis of rebellion in favor of students of theoretical colleges, The existence of a statistically significant correlational relationship between the total services provided by university cities and some socio-economic variables (the monthly income of the family), while there is no statistically significant correlation between the total psychological alienation and some variables of the social and economic level (the monthly income of the family).Among the most important research recommendations: Preparing the university city (students ’housing) so that it has the elements of comfortable accommodation, and providing it with the appropriate facilities for proper educational attainment., Providing a system for continuous follow-up of the level of student satisfaction by providing a fund to express opinion, proposals and complaints with the use of opinion cards periodically and daily passage by university city directors and direct listening to students ’views, the need to pay attention to the services provided by university cities with the need to diversify them, so that they achieve balance in the manifestations of Different growth, physical, mental, emotional, social and religious
