Abstract
Background: Clothing industry is one of the oldest industries which known to man and that accompanied the evolution in successive historical periods towards urbanization, so the garment industry is one of industries that need to be constantly evolving to keep pace with global developments. In recent years, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia focused on garment industry in particular. To keep these industries in front of the challenges and global competition requires that the quality is the basic requirement for any organization. Among the industries that require a degree of quality in Saudi Arabia, men's garment industry because they are considered one of national costumes in the Kingdom and occupies the first rank among the youth and adult clothing, With the modern development of machinery and thread, the designs become fit every aspect of daily life. However, there are sets of obstacles, which hinder the industry so you must identify these obstacles and on their light, the researcher proposed Standards to raise the quality level of dress for men in the kingdom. Problem: the research problem identified in the following questions: What the reality of men's garment industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia? To what extent the industry of men's clothes is facing the problems that limit access to the required degree of quality? To what extent can we find proposed solutions to the problems of men's garment industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia? How can we put the proposed standards for the quality of men's clothing in line with the requirements of the industry within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia? Methodology: The researcher followed a descriptive analytical method to achieve the objectives of the research and answer its questions. Results: Summary of results and recommendations, which the most important results were: 1-There is an agreement on the attention to quality standards of (cooperation between departments by 83.3%, interest in the consumer and make him the first factor by 79.2%, and the training of the two works periodically by 66.7%, and in addition to the quality of the matching rate of 52.8%, the quality of development 45.8% ) 2- The most important proposed standards for production of men's dress in Saudi Arabia, represented by the (attention by training , human development, quality of design and matching, and attention to the customer and make him the first factor, suitable price, form and art aesthetic and especially standards through the stages of production). 3-There is not continuous monitoring for process quality through the stages of production to the garment industry. .4-Lack of access to scientific research for the development of production processes 5-Rely on manual method that affects the quantity and quality of production. 6-Managers of the factories do not have certificate in disciplines related to the specialization of clothing and fabric, they rely on their experience and it affects the decisions outgoing from administration
