Abstract
This study aims to identify the relationship between psychological compatibility with the name and the overall dressing behavior and its dimensions among young people and the differences in psychological compatibility with the name and clothing behavior according to gender, place of residence, age, level of education and economic level of youth. The study was conducted on a sample of 550 young men. The study tools included a preliminary data form, a psychological compatibility scale with the name, and a clothing behavior scale. The results resulted in a direct correlation between psychological compatibility with the name and overall clothing behavior and its dimensions (attracting attention, fashion, modesty, adornment, group affiliation, self-realization) among the research sample at the level of significance (0.01). The results also resulted in the presence of statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) in psychological compatibility with the name according to the study variables. The results also resulted in the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) in after attracting attention as one of the dimensions of clothing behavior according to the variables of gender, place of residence, age and educational level and no significant differences appeared in the level of monthly income, and the results resulted in the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) In the dimension of fashion as a dimension of clothing behavior according to gender variables, place of residence, age, educational level and monthly income level, but after modesty as a dimension of clothing behavior the results have resulted in the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) according to gender variations and place of residence Age and the absence of statistically significant differences in each of the variables of the educational level and the level of the monthly income, and the results resulted in the presence of statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) in the adornment dimension as one of the dimensions of the clothing behavior according to gender, place of residence, age, educational level and the level of monthly income, as well The results resulted in a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.01) in the group belonging dimension as one of the dimensions of clothing behavior according to the variables of the place of residence, educational level and monthly income level, but There are no significant differences in both the sex and age variables, and the results have resulted in statistically significant differences at level (0.01) in the dimension of self-fulfillment as one of the dimensions of clothing behavior according to gender, place of residence, age, educational level and monthly income level.
