Abstract
Digital technologies have become an intellectual reflection on the design vision in both functional and aesthetic aspects of furniture design. It has influenced its technological capabilities to create the idea of design and morphological construction, so it became necessary for the furniture designer to realize the main possibilities of these technologies in order to update his design vision, and The importance of research is that it identifies the main methods of utilizing digital technologies in finding the design idea for furniture works. The main problem of research is the traditional morphological construction of furniture works; Digital techniques to find the design idea, and the research aims to study the positive impact of digital technologies on the emergence of the idea of design in the furniture business, to move away from the traditional morphological construction.
The research went on to study the concept of digital technologies and the potential of the most important software in the construction of the form and inspired the idea of design, and then dealt with the types of morphological construction in the furniture business, and finally an analytical study of the impact of digital technologies on morphological construction in the furniture business.
One of the most important results of the research is that the use of programming mechanisms in the search for the source of a structural unit of the form known as Genetic Code (Genetic Code); He also concluded that a three-dimensional work of the design idea manually, and then the use of three-dimensional scanning mechanism to convert it to a digital configuration, can be any of the functional modifications to become a furniture work that has an unconventional morphological feature.
From the above results and the analytical study we draw the positive impact of digital technologies on the design idea for the work of non-traditional furniture morphological construction in two main dimensions, either as a source of inspiration for this idea
