الفضاء الصوتىه هو واحد من الإمکانات التی یمکن أن تحدد تفرد القاهرة التاریخیة. یرتبط جوهر المدینة التاریخیة ارتباطًا وثیقًا بالأماکن المزدحمة وورش العمل المعدنیة والأذان (الدعوة للصلاة للمسلمین) والأطفال الذین یلعبون فی الأماکن المفتوحة والملل والأسواق والأنشطة الأخرى. الفضاء الصوتى کإمکانات لم یدخل بعد کمعیار لعملیة تخطیط الحفظ. سوف یدرس البحث النزاهة السیاقیة للقاهرة التاریخیة حیث سیتم أخذ الجوانب المختلفة فی الاعتبار فی الدراسة مثل: الاقتصادی والاجتماعی والحضری والثقافی والتشریعی وغیرها. یرتبط کل نشاط یحدث فی القاهرة التاریخیة بواحد أو أکثر من هذه السیاقات. ثم تناقش الدراسة هویة القاهرة التاریخیة من خلال الأنشطة التی تعتبر مصادر للأصوات ، سواء کانت هذه الأنشطة موجودة بالفعل أو سیتم إضافتها لاحقًا إلى السیاق الحضری. یمکن أن تکون مصادر الفضاء الصوتى مرتبط بأنشطة یومیة أو أسبوعیة أو شهریة أو حتى سنویة. ویهدف إلى اختتام مجموعة من أسالیب تصمیم سوند سکیب فی القاهرة التاریخیة لتکون قادرة على الحفاظ على جوهر المکان. یجب دمج هذه المناهج لاحقًا فی المشاریع المخطط لها فی المستقبل ، سواء کانت تهدف إلى إنشاء مسار سیاحی جدید أو دعم نشاط اقتصادی أو ثقافی أو أی نطاق عمل آخر یتعلق بالحفظ. وأخیرًا ، یقترح البحث تصمیمًا یعتمد على مصادر الصوت والمناهج التی تم التوصل إلیها.
