تعکس عمليتا الإحياء وإعادة التوظيف مفهومين مختلفين للتقدم والتنمية بشکل عام وبشکل خاص في ممارساتنا اليومية وأنشطتنا الحياتية.
مع هذه التغييرات التي لا تزال تنمو في المدن الجديدة ، فإن ظهور تأثيرها على إصلاح المشاهد المعمارية البصرية بدأ يظهر بشکل سلبي أو إيجابي. تم توسيع الأنشطة غير المخطط لها التي تؤثر على الشکل والوظيفة المعمارية مع هذه التغييرات المجتمعية ، حيث فقد المبنى دوره الأساسي وإهماله وتآکله.
تعرضت بعض المواقع مؤخرًا لفوضى معمارية ، ربما بسبب عدم وجود قوانين تحافظ على الکنوز المعمارية في المدن الجديدة ، مما أدى إلى جهود فردية لإعادة توظيف المباني السکنية. قد تهدف هذه التدخلات غير المدروسة إلى تحقيق ربح مالي ، حتى لو کانت النتيجة إساءة وتشويه الرؤية الحضرية لهذه المواقع وبالتالي المدن.أصبحت العمارة تفقد الهوية بسبب فقدان مکوناتها بسبب القيم المجتمعية وعکس البيئة الطبيعية والاجتماعية وحتى المناخية ، أي أن الهندسة المعمارية فقدت الاستدامة والاستمرارية وخلقت شعوراً بالعزلة وعدم الرضا بين السکان. دراسة هذه الفوضى وانعکاسها على بيئة العمارة المعاصرة وتحديداً على العمارة السکنية في المدن الجديدة من خلال استقراء الحقائق المعمارية في هذه المدن وتحديد ما تحققه هذه الأنظمة من أجل خلق أشکال معمارية لها خاصية الاستدامة وتحقيق الاحتياجات. ومتطلباتالسکان والمجتمع في المدينة
