موضوع تحريم تصوير الشخصيات الدينية موضوع شائک بسبب تضارب الآراء والأفکار حوله. يجسد فن المنمنمات نظامًا إنسانيًا طبيعيًا ، بينما تجسد الشخصيات الدينية المقدسة ظاهرة غير طبيعية لا يمکن أن تنخفض إلى مستوى المعايير الإنسانية. ومن هنا تم تحديد مشکلة البحث في دراسة مشکلة التناقض النظري بين تحريم تصوير الشخصيات الدينية المقدسة وما تم إنجازه في المنمنمات الإسلامية. کان الهدف من البحث مناقشة الدوافع الحقيقية وراء تصوير الشخصيات الدينية المقدسة على أنها واقع اجتماعي في المنمنمات الإسلامية ، على الرغم من التحريم الديني للتمثيل المجازي بشکل عام ، والرسل والأنبياء وأهاليهم وأصحابهم وأصحابهم. الملائکة على وجه الخصوص. تکمن أهمية البحث في الکشف عن أسباب استمرار موقف معظم علماء المسلمين من التمثيل التصويري وتحريم تصوير الشخصيات الدينية المقدسة في العصر الإسلامي ، وهو ما أثر على العصر الحالي. استخدمت الباحثة المنهج التاريخي الوصفي والاستنباطي والاستنباطي التاريخي في دراسة هذه الظاهرة. کما خلصت الدراسة إلى أن موقف فنان المنمنمات الإسلامية من تصوير الشخصيات الدينية المقدسة لم يکن ثابتًا على مر العصور. کان هذا محکومًا بمجموعة من العوامل السياسية والاجتماعية والثقافية والعقائدية.
