إعادة تأهيل وتوظيف الآثار المعمارية للحفاظ عليها من عوامل التلف

إن عملية الصيانة وإعادة تأهيل المباني الأثرية  تلعب دوراً هاماً وحيوياً في الحفاظ على التراث الإنساني المادي من الاندثار ليظل مَعْلماً أساسياً لا غنى عنه من خلال تفاعله مع المجتمع بالإضافة الي الجانب الاقتصادي من إعادة استثماره ، وقد فطنت الدول المتقدمة إلى أن أفضل الوسائل للحفاظ على المبنى التاريخي وإطالة عمره بجانب الصيانة، هو إعادة تأهيله بتوفير وظيفة جديدة تضمن له البقاء والاستمرار مع الأخذ بعين الاعتبار عدم المساس بقيمته وخصوصيته التاريخية وأن تکون الوظيفة الجديدة منسجمة ومتفقة مع الطابع الحضاري للأثر المعماري وهيئته وبما لا يتعارض مع شروط ميثاق البندقية  1964، ويعد إعادة توظيف المباني والمناطق الأثرية أفضل الحلول التي توازن بين احتياجات النمو العمراني والتنمية العقارية والمنفعة الاقتصادية ، لذا تعتبر عملية إعادة التوظيف من الأهمية سواء کان ذلک بالنسبة للمبني الأثري ذاته، أو بالنسبة للمحيط المدني والطابع العام للمدينة التي تحتويه، و إعادة تأهيل وتوظيف المباني والمواقع الأثرية والحفاظ عليها من التلف هو ما يجب أن يحظى بالأولوية القصوى من قبل الحکومات والهيئات الأثرية والسياحية. ويناقش البحث المشاکل المرتبطة بعمليات التلف الناتجة عن ترک المباني الأثرية بدون إعادة تأهيل وتوظيف وإمکانية وضع استراتيجية فاعلة لإعادة تأهيل وتوظيف الآثار المعمارية بصورة تنسجم مع الواقع المعاصر وتسعى لمخاطبة ومواجهة التحديات المستقبلية في حمايتها من عوامل التلف الطبيعية والبشرية.
